THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of the Earl of Crewe, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of a telegram from the Viceroy, dated the 14th November, relative to the Pien-ma expedition.

EXPEDITION to Pien-ma. See your telegram dated the 9th instant.
Mr. Hertz reports that he can start on the 1st proximo, and, using all expedition, can reach Pien-ma on the 2nd January, 1911, provided that there is no delay in arrival of rations and equipment. He has been directed by the Lieutenant-Governor to act accordingly.
